About Tracy

UI/UX Designer, Consensus Builder & Lifelong Seeker of Knowledge

"If you aren't prepared to be wrong, you'll never come up with anything original."                     -Sir Ken Robinson
The quote above by the late Sir Ken Robinson was a wake-up call for me. I spent the better portion of my life paralyzed by fear of failure and fear of making mistakes.
But in a moment of clarity, that changed. I realized it's okay to be wrong. It's ok to make mistakes. It's what we do with it that matters.
It is through our shortcomings that we can gain understanding and this is where empathy comes in to play. Trial and error, testing, re-testing, and questioning our assumptions can lead us to solutions - solutions that benefit others and make the world around us better and more accessible.
I was born and raised in northeast Wisconsin and from a young age, I was driven by a perpetual state of curiosity, along with an insatiable desire to learn something new every day.
Effective communication is at the forefront of all I do. Whether it is UI/UX design, web design, content writing, prototyping, or working collaboratively with others, developing a robust accessible user experience is key.
When I'm not designing, you can find me up north with my husband and daughter, embracing my love of photography while enjoying the solace of the woods. I enjoy working in my uncle's one-acre garden in the summer, sharing stories around the campfire, or at home playing World of Warcraft.
